Why I Started Babybloom
Babybloom began during one of the biggest transitions of my life—becoming a first-time mum.
Before having children, I was a workaholic with a career I loved. Then suddenly I found myself on maternity leave, waiting for my baby to arrive and later spending long hours at home with a sleeping newborn beside me.
I loved every moment with my baby, but if I'm honest, I also found the days long at times.
The housework was done. Pumping felt repetitive. My little one slept, and I found myself watching the clock.
So I turned to something I had always enjoyed—being creative.
I started drawing, colouring, painting and decorating my baby's memory book. Instead of simply filling in milestones, I made every page personal with colours, illustrations and little touches that reflected our journey.
Those quiet moments became something I looked forward to. Creating those pages helped me relax, gave me a sense of purpose, and left me with a keepsake that was truly unique to our family.
Fast forward five years and I found myself in a similar season of life with my youngest son. This time, I made the decision not to return to work because his health challenges and allergies meant daycare wasn't the right fit for our family.
Once again, I found comfort in creating.
Over the past year, I have poured my heart into designing a memory book that combines beautiful prompts and milestones with the freedom to be creative.
Not just a book to fill in, but a keepsake you can truly make your own.
A place where parents can write, draw, colour, paint, add photos, decorate pages and capture memories in a way that reflects their family's story.
Today, I'm excited to share Babybloom with other parents.
Created by a mum, for parents who want to preserve the little moments before they become memories.
